Jupiter Fund Management has appointed Matteo Dante Perruccio as an executive adviser.
In the role, Perruccio will look to establish and develop Jupiter’s Italian operations. He previously served for eight years as non-executive director of Jupiter, and has 30 years’ experience in the asset management industry. While on the board, he was involved in supporting Jupiter’s international expansion plans.
In 2008, Perruccio founded and was chief executive officer (CEO) of Hermes BPK Partners.
From 2000 to 2006, Perruccio held various roles at Pioneer Investments including global head of distribution, vice chairman Pioneer alternatives, and CEO of Pioneer Investment Management SGR, Italy’s second largest asset manager.
Prior to that, he worked for American Express as executive director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he was responsible for launching the first distribution of foreign funds through banks in Italy.
Including his involvement in Hermes BPK, Perruccio has experience in the alternatives sector, having also been CEO of Olympia Capital Management, a Paris-based fund of hedge funds.
