Novia Global, a fund platform for advisers and other fund selectors in the UK, is entering the international market with the launch of an investment service in partnership with five asset managers.
Marlborough Fund Managers, Smith & Williamson Investment Management, MitonOptimal, Tavistock Investments and Novia’s in-house manager, Copia Capital Management, have all entered into strategic agreements with the platform, which was launched only in October 2015.
Novia’s international focus is the worldwide offshore market for expats and trust companies.
The firm says the “panel” of five managers has a wide range of investment approaches and philosophies, which reflects the “non-homogenous requirements of the diverse and changing adviser and trustee needs in the international market”.
Its in-house Copia manager, for example, manages passive allocation portfolios.
Bill Vasilieff, chief executive at Novia Global, said: “We anticipate a strong demand for a high quality and diverse range of investment solutions in the offshore markets we operate in and are delighted to be making this announcement.”
Phil Penrose, international sales director at MitonOptimal, said new standards in platform fees would result from Novia’s move.
“Novia Global’s entry into the international platform space signals a new chapter in this developing market segment. Novia’s pedigree and proven experience in the demanding UK market will see them set new standards in technology, service and fees,” he said.
