RobecoSAM diversifies fund management team

Junwei Hafner CaiRobecoSAM has promoted Junwei Hafner-Cai to co-portfolio manager on the firm’s Global Child Impact and Global Gender Equality Impact funds.

Hafner-Cai is a senior equity analyst at RobecoSAM since 2010, covering the industrials sector. She will be co-managing the two funds together with Olaf Martin. She previously served as junior portfolio manager at EFG International, and assistant fixed income portfolio manager at Wegelin & Co. Private Bankers.

The Global Child Impact fund invests in a portfolio of companies that are leaders in supporting children’s rights and welfare, while the Global Gender Equality Impact fund invests in companies that promote gender diversity and equality.

Hafner-Cai says gender equality in the workplace supports corporate performance and reduces risks.

RobecoSAM manages assets of $89.8 billion (€81.1 billion). The firm has a large focus on responsible investment. In 2015, it highlighted the threat and opportunity posed by water scarcity, and launched a green smart beta strategy.
