Fulcrum Asset Management hires Chmielowski as chief risk officer

Fulcrum Asset Management has hired Piotr Chmielowski in the newly created role of chief risk officer.

Based in London, Chmielowski will be responsible for overseeing Fulcrum’s risk management capabilities, including aspects of the investment process and all risk-related business decisions.

Chmielowski joins Fulcrum from Lombard Odier Asset Management, where he spent five years as head of risk in Europe.

He has over twenty years of experience in the industry, previously holding roles such as as chief operating officer and group risk manager at investment and advisory group, Reech Aim Partners, which specialises in alternative investments.

Andrew Stevens, chief executive officer of Fulcrum, says: “Fulcrum is growing steadily and this appointment reflects our continued commitment to bringing clients the strength of risk management and depth of investment expertise required to meet their objectives.”

Fulcrum currently manages assets of over £2 billion (€2.8 billion).
