Asset management group First Sentier Investors has appointed Adele Swan as the firm’s chief people and culture officer, effective today.
Based in Edinburgh, Swan will report directly to CEO Mark Steinberg. Steinberg commented: “Adele has been acting chief people and culture officer over the past three months and has demonstrated the dedication, leadership and vision required for this role. I am pleased that we have been able to appoint Adele from within the business, showcasing the talent and opportunities for progression that exist within our firm.”

With three decades of experience in people and culture within the financial services sector globally, Swan has worked with companies like Standard Life Aberdeen (now Abrdn), HSBC, and Tesco Bank. She brings extensive expertise in organisational design and development strategies, change management and HR operational delivery, coupled with a deep understanding of First Sentier Investors’ culture.
Swan succeeded Melanie King, who served in the role for three years. Prior to being acting chief people and culture Officer, Swan was global head of talent, leadership, and DE&I at First Sentier Investors for the past two years.
